Last week’s interruption in the Links Roundup brought to you by a suddenly malfunctioning wireless card and the letters A, T, and T.
I’m already wiped out this week, so you’ll have to make do with just a quick rundown of some highlights instead of my usual word dump. If you must make public displays of despair, try to keep them orderly.
DOMA/Prop 8: March 26th and 27th are the dates SCOTUS has set to hear arguments on “the marriage cases.”
General Interest: PFLAG founder Jeanne Manford died on Tuesday, January 8th. PFLAG has set up the Jeanne Manford Legacy Fund in her honor.
Marriage Equality: I first learned about the civil rights movement while attending elementary school in a state which now proudly boasts a constitutional amendment banning recognition of my relationship. Can’t really express how very moving I find the Campaign for Southern Equality’s “We Do” Campaign.
Political: Cory Booker (the Mayor of Newark) shares a touching editorial of his struggle to overcome homophobia (sorry, A.P., it’s still a thing).
